Ecodivision(TM)
Ecodivision (e•co•di•vi•sion, pronunciation: e-co-de-vi-zhen, a noun), meaning: a division of land utilizing sustainable design principals. An ecodivision is based on energy efficiency and reduction in greenhouse gas emission strategies.
The design principals include an appropriate mix of uses, alternative modes of transportation, renewable energy, water conservation, and LEED standards for new construction, homes, and neighborhood development. Ecodivision design standards can be applied to all types of development, resulting in man-made impacts to the earths surface that have a minimal carbon footprint and are compatible with the natural environment.
Ecodivision Design Standards
The design criteria for an Ecodivision(TM) incorporates the LEED standards for buildings with the LEED principals for neighborhood development. These principals and standards can be utilized for residential communities, non-residential developments, mixed-use projects, and institutional uses to create a holistic environment in which all aspects, not just the buildings, contribute toward sustainability and integration into existing and surrounding communities.

What is an Ecodivision?
Ecodivision(TM) is the term developed by Team Plan to describe our approach to the subdivision of land and creation of sustainable development for our clients.
A typical subdivision is not energy efficient or sustainable. Team Plan's answer is the Ecodivision - a LEED ND (Neighborhood Development) based on sustainable design practices.
Why Ecodivision?
Sustainable site design, coupled with energy efficient buildings based on LEED standards, creates a healthy built environment with reduced carbon emissions, smaller carbon footprints, less environmental impacts, and minimal contribution to global warming.
